Day 1: Aug 25
Bicycle sharing for the Democratic National Convention kicked off today. It grew to be quite popular within hours of launching. The numbers looked pretty good, and responses from riders were enthusiastic. See photos of day 1 here.
Bicycle sharing is a system of public transportation in which a fleet of bikes are available for short term use at minimal cost. Bicycles are great for short urban trips, and bicycle sharing is a healthy, sustainable transportation alternative.
